Today the Wadd Squad decided to spend the day at the beach. We had to get Mike away from his computer (he is trying to get some more papers written before we go on vacation to Switzerland next week) and the forecast of +31C and humid meant we had to get near water. Last weekend the main beach near us was packed and it was quite rocky so we checked the internet and found a nice beach south of Uppsala on Lake Ekoln. When we got to the beach it was small and slimy (talk about false advertising). So we decided to go to Enkoping instead, have lunch and then go to the back-up beach. By the time we finished lunch it had started to rain. Again, talk about false advertising. So we had to come up with a new plan - and it was a good one. We toured the region and visted several rune stones and petroglyphs. The highlight was the Brandskogsskeppet. A 4.2m long petroglyph south of Uppsala. Here are some of favourite discoveries on today's Wadd Squad Adventure!
