Through to the Finals!

On Wednesday Emma had her school cross country running Champs. Her friends Chloe and Kathryn were 1st and 3rd and Emma ended up 5th (like she did in all the warm-up races).

If the race was another 400m Emma may have made the top 3. After 100m she was 15th, at the first corner 13th, 2nd corner 10th, 3rd turn 7th and then she continued to move up and finished in the top 5 - which was important. The top 5 from each school in each grade go through to the finals - the City Champs next week. The City Champs course is the same one that GR Allen practices on at Churchill Park (two blocks from our home). Emma is very excited.
