Swedish 101: Bjork

Today we begin our random posting of Swedish 101 words of the week. We start with....BJORK!

Swedish for birch.

Spring has arrived in Uppsala and the leaves are out (and so too is the birch pollen - sniff sniff). Here is a picture of the remains of a birch tree that had fallen over in a peatland. Looks like some moss is starting to grown inside the remains of the birch.
